Watermelon cooler

What do you like to do on a warm summer day to chill out? Splash on the pool and chill out with a refreshing drink.When it comes to coolers, I think watermelon and cucumber rule, both low on calories and high in water content. What better way to beat the heat ?






Ingredients:
  • 4 cups watermelon (seeded and cubed)
  • 1 cup cucumber (seeded and cubed)
  • 2-3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar
  • chat masala
  • mint leaves
  • ice cubes
Method:
Let me first share how to select the right watermelon.
Make sure that your water melon has no cuts dents and bruises.
Tap on the watermelon and check for signs of hollowness. If it sounds hollow , it is ripe and obviously if not hollow then not ripe.
Also if it has a yellow or a light yellow bottom it is ripe and ready. If it is white or green then the watermelon is not ready.
If you have picked a really ripe and sweet watermelon, you don't have to add much sugar.
Now to make the cooler, combine watermelon, water, sugar and lemon juice and process in a blender.
Add ice cubes and sprinkle chat masala.
Drop in the mint leaves and serve.
